St Dominic's Convent - Staffordshire

St Dominic's Convent was created by the English Dominican Congregation in the mid XIX century in the town centre of Stone. The Sisters created the first hospital in Stone, an orphanage, a care home and a school. The latter two continue to operate. The Congregation has seen their number of Sisters drop since the mid XIX century, with growing concerns about their future and legacy.

Cavaleri Partnership was appointed by the Congregation to identify a future for the site and provide a legacy. We carried out an extensive analysis of the options based on demographics, market research and planning policy. We developed a master plan and architectural plans for a retirement village in which all levels of care are provided on site.

Planning permission for the site has been confirmed and we expect works to commence shortly.
