Designing high-density luxury housing in central Cambridge requires balancing bold architectural massing with delicate ecological surroundings. Awarded via a competitive architectural pitch, this proposed development scheme was conceived for a prominent site directly adjacent to a serene bird reserve in the heart of Cambridge.
To respect the scale and natural character of the nature reserve, Cavaleri Partnership designed the building’s massing to mirror its environmental context. The conceptual layout integrates a subterranean/lower-ground entrance, concealing vehicular parking while preserving uninterrupted surface-level views across the landscape.
