Murray Edwards College, Graduate Accommodation - Cambridge
The College was seeking graduate accommodation with adequate facilities for individual students and their families. The building followed the master plan designed and built by Chamberlain, Powell and Bonn in 1965.
The concept design was developed around the idea of a round courtyard with terraced gardens and a sensory garden at the centre of the future new building. It also removed all parking from the grounds, bringing it underground.
A College restriction in the benefactors' arrangement has prevented the College from pursuing this project to date.
